knee pain physiotherapy treatment

Possible physiotherapy diagnosis of your knee pain and relevant treatments:

There are lots of different conditions that cause knee pain. It can be injured traumatically, whilst playing sport, or injured due to its high susceptibility to overuse injuries and degenerative diseases.

If you injure your knee it is important to see a physiotherapist early because the right treatment and advice in the early stages is the key to a quick and full recovery. For more chronic conditions that develop over time the earlier you get physiotherapy treatment the better. This is because the longer the condition goes on for, the more degenerative changes take place, traditionally, most knee pain conditions have been treated with only short-term aims in mind. e.g. cortisone injections or painkillers.

At Paragon Physiotherapy we carry out a thorough knee and lower limb assessment. This ensures we can ascertain WHY you have knee pain. Once the assessment has been completed we provide bespoke treatment, not only to treat the symptomatic pain but the underlying reason for it as well. At our clinic we have a strength and conditioning room where you can receive one and one training, with a personal trainer. The personal trainer collaborates with the physiotherapist to ensure a bespoke session for you.

Examples of knee conditions we treat:
